About Kin & Echo

At Kin & Echo, we believe every photo holds a story worth bringing back to life.

It started with a black and white photograph found at a thrift store. There was something so tender about it that I brought it home and sat with it for days, wondering who they were and what their lives had been like. Eventually, I decided to bring them back.

Using my background in technology, graphic design, and motion graphics, I explored ways to blend color, movement, and storytelling to reimagine the image as something alive. Later, I did the same with an old photo of my father. Seeing him move again, even briefly, was deeply emotional and transformed how I saw these pieces.

Each piece is created with care, combining color, motion, and storytelling to transform a still image into a living memory. The goal is not just to animate a photo, but to help people feel something real — to reconnect with a moment, a person, or a story that still matters.
